Things TO do

denver colorado

Day trips galore

The Rocky Mountains embody many of the things that Colorado has to offer.

If you’re looking to add a few of the area’s must-see attractions to your itinerary, you’re in luck.

Wild Life Sanctuary

The Wild Animal Sanctuary is located about 30 miles outside of the city’s limits, and the 320-acre rescue facility boasts more than 300 large animals who spend their days roaming free. It’s one of the only places where visitors can see lions, tigers and bears living in a natural habitat.

Red Rocks

Red Rocks Amphitheater is the world’s only completely natural Amphitheater. In addition to hosting a blockbuster summer concert series, those who aren’t wanting to catch a live show are able to enjoy the park year-round. If you’re in the mood for a hike, the 1.4-mile Trading Post Loop Hiking Trail has some incredible views of area valleys and rock formations.

The Coors Brewery

The Mile High City is home to dozens of microbreweries; if you’re looking to tour something a bit larger, you can do that, too. The Coors Brewery is located about 29 miles outside of Denver. Coors has the ability to brew up to 22 million barrels of beer each year, which makes it the largest single-site brewer anywhere on the planet.

Foodies rejoice! Denver is home to some amazing restaurants, so if you’re trying to decide which ones you’d like to visit, you may not need to narrow things down too much. There are several tour groups within the city that offer a few different food tour options. Or, if you’re more interested in a cocktail tour, those are available too!
